Why do I need a Primary Care provider?

A primary care provider may be a Physician’s Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Medical Doctor who can help you advocate for yourself and navigate a complex healthcare system.

In most cases PCPs will be the first to see signs of changes in your overall health like depression, chronic disease or urgent needs.

Their job is to make sure you get the right care at the right time, this could include managing those symptoms or referring you to a specialist, health coaching or wellness program.

Your health care should not be one size fits all, having a good relationship with your primary care provider is key to stay up to date on yearly exams, preventative care and complex health concerns.
