Premier Diabetes and Weight Management Coaching is a One-On-One education and counseling service taught by Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE) and open to anybody whose weight loss may reduce their risk for, or symptoms of, Type 2 Diabetes. Insulin resistance makes it easier to gain weight, but whether or not you are taking insulin to manage your diabetes, weight loss may offer health benefits such as lower heart disease risk, improved blood sugar control, reduced blood pressure, and less stress on your bones and joints. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) person may reduce their risk of diabetes by as much as 58%, with only a 5 – 7% total weight loss. Weight loss can also improve insulin sensitivity, enhance vascular health, reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack and reduce inflammation to make your joints healthier.
